I have bought some 140mm forks and wondered if you can put a spacer in them like fox forks to lower them ?

just in case I change my frame that requires 120mm forks or 100mm forks

What year are they? Pre 2011 model year I think they were essentially tarted up Pace whereas since then they are DT Swiss design.
You could change travel on the Pace coil and some air forks. No idea on the DT Swiss design ones.
