Looking to put disc brakes on my daughters bike looking around at all the 24" disc ready wheels. They all seem to be for jump style bikes.

Is it possible does anybody make something just normal xc orientated that wont break the bank ?

Cheers

I'd look at sourcing some decent disk hubs and a rim separatly - you can probably get some reasonably light 24" rims for folding/city type bikes?

Yes considered the build route and wondered if the existing rims could be re-built back onto disc hubs.
Rims are near new so straight etc.

if the rims have the same amount of holes as the hubs, they can be built.*

*that's the absolute extent of my knowledge on the subject. 🙂

you can get all the bits and hand them to your lbs - mine charged £30 for two wheels a while ago.

or use it as an opportunity to learn to do it yourself 🙂
