Just trying to find ways to take weight off my back. I did buy one from the LBS but it seems it wont fit on MTB bars. Are these available? I already have my pump on one of the frame slots, and also you have to worry about mud and stuff huh?

Cheers

Si

Get longer bolts for you bottle cages on the fame and you can fit a pump and a cage. Mud is good for you, you won't need to buy any Yakult 😉

You can get those twin holders that fit onto saddle rails. Might still get a wee bit muddy from the rear wheel, but not as bad as downtube mounted.

I definitely seen bar mounted cages, but couldn't say if they'd fit on MTB bars - what was wrong with the one you bought?

You can also get generic "bolt on" cages for frames without bosses - that might work too.

Many pumps happily sit alongside bottle cages.

Make sure they have chequered flags on them and straws. They were the must have bicycle accessory around 1975 as I recall, though age and time may have clouded my memory.

Simon - yes you can. I have tried two different ones and this one was absolutely rock-solid, never moved at all:
