I'm sure there was a thread on this recently, but I can't find it, sorry.

11spd Ultegra chain on Ultegra 11spd cassette, will a 10spd Connex link work in it okay?

I use 10sp links on 11sp MTB chains all the time, with no problems.

Not tried it on a road bike though.

Should do, but it might not be able to get it undone again.

How come? The Connex ones are normally a doddle to undo

Should work fine, I've been using 8s and 9s links on 10s chains for years, and 10s KMC links on my 11s SRAM bike. Mostly because there's no way I'm going to pay more than the cost of a 9s chain for a single quick link when you can pickup multipacks of the clarks ones for a couple of quid.
