I have a barely used set of Fireball lights (think Lumi Halogen)

They are well made and use a 12v Nimh (heavy) battery that drives the lights at 13.2v according to the bumf.

Question, do i sell them as they are and if so how much?

or will they easily convert (cheaply)

any help much appreciated from you techy gods.

You can convert them using the cutter kit. Triple led with a buck driver would be best. Get you about the equivalent of 20W halogen ( or a bit more) with the current drain of 10W

Now that looks confusing..

Which bits would i need? All of them?

Do i need to have some experience of soldering, etc?

You need the triple led pcb, optic and a driver for each light unit. You already have the housings do you not. Yes you need to be able to solder - a few small conections to make - 8 IIRC You probably need a new switch as well. You also need to make sur tht you have a good thermal pathway to remove excess heat. Have a look on candlepower forums for more advice.

A few of us off here are looking to put an order into cutter, I can give you a list of what you need if you like.

You will need a heat transfer method ie heatsink IMHO.

Cutter do a heat sink almost the right size, Lumi's have a flat at the bottom which you'll need to file off, but it ensures a nice tight fit one you have.
