Hi Guys,

I am currently running a Hope bulb hub with a 20mm Bolt thru fork, I just want to know whether I can purchase adaptors to run a 15mm bolt thru axle on a new fork that I am looking at.

any help would be great!

thanks,
Pete

I HAVE NO IDEA but bulbs predate 15mm forks by miles, so I'd be amazed if Hope make owt to suit (soneone like betd just my do), and ...

haven't seen the inner faces of a 15mm "dropout" - if your existing Bulb's 20mm end cap will butt up to it safely then I'd GUESS that a simple tube up the middle of the 20mm axle bore would work fine.

If not, you'd need a new tapered end cap made that has an inner dia of 15mm where it meets the fork, but also runs out to 20mm dia so it butts up correctly to your 20mm bearing (and I guess you'd need a tube up the middle too, as above, to support it all - so more complex shapes)

Been asked many times on here, and the simple answer is no, but if you have access to a machine shop then it's possible that you could make something(PRO2 parts won't work as BULB has odd length spacers, and one will be too short).

There is already a 20mm spacer between the bearings, so no internal spacer required. the 15mm adaptors pass through the bearings into the spacer tube once fitted.
The disk side fits ok on 15mm, but the non-disk side is too long.
Also the inner side of the non-disk has a small stand-off that leaves a gap between the adapter and the hub.
As coatesy said, if you have access to a lathe the adaptor could be modified.
I mailed hope with a request to make one, they have the technology; i'm sure, but their answer was to upgrade to a new hub!
If anyone can get some done, I will gladly buy one, as I have a set of hope xc on 521CD's and picked up a matching bulb wheel with the plan to use it with 15mm forks!

Update.

Use the hope 15mm adaptor for the disk side.
Use the original bulb QR small spacer from the adaptor axle, part no. HUB415, gives the corect 100mm spacing. Just needs drilling out to 15mm.
