Hi everyone,
Admittedly slightly late to the party on this one, but keen to give this 650 b Plus thing a try....
Before dropping a whole lot of cash on yet another wheelset, I would like to dip my toes in the water a little bit and first of all check that my Titus fireline frame (135mm qr rear, 20mm front) will fit some 650 B+ wheels and tyres and compare directly the performance with my 29 in ones. Initial research seems to suggest that a 35mm Rim with 2.8 tyres should fit.
I'm about 8 miles outside of Exeter so if anybody local to Haldon, Dartmoor or Woodbury Common with a set would like to help me out , I would happily by the post ride coffee and cakes. Wouldn't take much arm twisting to get me up to the quantocks or mendips mind if it came to it.
Cheers folks!
Sorry - could have helped with a Boost wheelset but I think you might struggle finding a plus wheelset with that combo of hub standards.
I've a set that will run 15mm front and 135qr front but am in Southampton. Also have a wierd combo of 15mm boost front and 135 (or 142) set of alpkit b+ wheels for sale (under £100)
@hamishthecat yeah, struggling to get up to speed with 2014, let along 2018..
@nixie, yeah, that is a bit of a step away. Drop me a line if you want to sell the second set, might stretch to a cheap replacement front hub.
Would still like to get a go on a set close by though..
I've got a set of 20mm front (if I can find adaptors, should have them) 135 rear in Bristol, 35mm rims. Only running 2.8 rangers though, which are pretty narrow...
Cheers Ian,
I'll drop you an im
