Not quite what it sounds - luckily the only dope my 16 year old is interested in is the floating brake system attached to his 2008 Kona Stinky!
His problem at the moment is the bar is twisted and almost broken. Does anyone on here have bits of old DOPE systems that they would like to part with?

Doesn't actually change brake performance so it might be cheaper in the long run to get normal tabs welded on.
Chain Reaction used to have some spares. Otherwise try paligap.
I found DOPE did improve suspension performance while braking, having had an old stinky without, and a coilair with.
The bar is pretty simple stuff - maybe try a local machinist?

He does say that non-dope dropouts would be acceptable. Might try a machinist. Off to look at paligap - never heard of it.
Luckily it is still usable - should maybe get someone to look at it before it breaks, I wonder if it is salvageable...
