I've got the 200x51 but the shaft is 57mm long. Can this shock be changed to 200x 57 internally so I can use it on a longer travel bike?

Yes it can be but it would need stripping down to do it and a new part fitting.

That's cool.
What internal part would I need?

A new bearing housing which to fit requires a partial strip down and rebuild.

Its the same for all fox shocks of that eye to eye length.

I see now that the bearing housings are different on the 51/57 rp23

However, the damper shaft, internal adjuster rod and damper body are all different lengths too

So will work if I just swap the bearing housing, or have I missed something?

Also, if this does work, what effect will it have on the compression/rebound ranges?

Nothing to do with me but if it's taken a year to get this far alric this just appeared in the classified and might be serendipity.
