I know this may be a stupid question, but I thinking about going 1x10, I am currently running a 1x9 set up,
Coul I fit a 10speed cassette to my current hub/wheel?
Would I need to buy a new hub/wheel?
I know I need to buy a 10speed rear mech and shifter and cassette.

You're fine. A 10spd cassette is just a slimmer version of the 9 speed in order to squeeze the extra cog in.

I though you could use a 9-speed rear mech?

Trying to get a 9spd mech to run smoothly across 10 gears is a world of pain.
