Hi All,
I'm off to ride in West Scotland soon and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good,reasonably priced campsite that's close to Kirroughtree and Dalbeattie etc...

Kipford has one, a short walk from t'pub for din dins.
I tried to camp near Kiroughtree once but the midges were so bad we drove back to kipford. Kipford holiday park I think it was called, right next to the dalbeattie track
There's one in Beeswing. My pals stayed there over the weekend and said it was great... and cheap!
Castle Cary Holiday Park near to Creetown is a nice spot with good facilities. I also found some nice trails up the back of the campsite. And it's a 20min ride to Kirroughtree.
I've stayed in one of the static caravans at Auchenlarie and it was very good.
Lovely staff and spotlessly clean, so I'd guess it'd be a good place to camp too.
