I'm doing the Ae Enduro event in a couple of weekends time and need to find somewhere to camp on the Saturday night. Any recommendations for good places near to Ae?

I'd be amazed if there is not a campsite/area designated. Give the shop a call and ask if they have any info. Saying that I cant see any info on the website.

You could stay here

http://www.lochmaben.org.uk/news/74/99/Kirk-Loch-Caravan-Site/d,accomm_detail_template.html

I live 5 mins up the road and it takes me 10-15 min to get to Ae.

If you end up staying here, email me and I will give you directions to Ae as it's a back road dash to the forest from Lochmaben.

There wasn't a designated camping area last year. Thumbs up for barnsoul farm, pub nearby too.

People tend to wild camp along the picnic area area of the forest hen shower and breakfast at the shop. Camper van there complete with awning the other week. There is a big field where music festivals are held, people also use that for camping
