Afan. Gisburn and Grizedale a bit cheeky. Wharncliffe but too near home.
Innerleithen. Lee Quarry.

There's a campsite near satterthwaite for grizedale isn't there? Good place to start ride anyway and head straight up breasty haw.

Coed y brenin.

Scotgate or lane foot for whinlatter, either way need to ride uphill to the trails but no big deal.
Edit: plus gives you choice of great descents to seldom seen or bottom half of grisedale to get home.

Glencoe has camping facilities, probably wouldn't be fussed if you were self sufficient.

Dalbeattie - camp at the colvend campsite and it’s about a half mile ride to join Dalbeattie at the Far East side of the trails rather than the trailhead itself.

Glentress have camped in Peebles and only a Mile or so to ride to trails.

Golspie trails start from centre of the village.

Comrie Croft trails and campsite same
Place.

Langdale Valley in the lakes (National Trust or Bays Brown Farm), Loads of options with traffic free paths down the valley to get you to the trails

Borrowdale must be possible as well

Loads of campsites round Hope giving access to Dark Peak Rides

Campsites in Swaledale and loads of rising there

Glentress, Kielder and Dalby all have camping within a short ride of you're after trail centres

There are umpteen options within an easy ride of Dalby Forrest.

Not a trail centre but Torridon Village fits the bill. 3 or 4 good ride starting from one camping spot.

Stayed in a lovely campsite at the foot of the Quantocks a few years back. That's pretty much a natural "trail centre".

pencelli castle campsite near Brecon is right on the classic gap road route

Nether stowey (quantocks) moorside campsite, right at the bottom of a coombe I can’t rememer the name of (hodders possibly)

Hope valley. Camp in hope and enjoy loads of peak riding...

Coed Y Brenin Cae Gywm campsite a couple of flat miles up the road . Nice warm down after shredding the trails

Forest of Dean definitely has camping nearby, if not actually at the trailhead..

Laneside Campsite in Hope, Peak District. Loads of riding from the tent, pubs and shops within a few minutes walk. Even a curry house.

Afan is a good call. Bryn Bettws lodge has bunk rooms, cabins and camping for both tents and camper vans.
Trails are about 100yds away, depending on where you pitch.

That’s some great advice thank you, we’re from Yorkshire so looking to go further afield than the peaks or hope valley, we actually did the broken road ride the other week!!

Also trying to find a site which has electric hookup for tents, it sounds silly but when your shoes are drenched then it’s the only best way to dry them using a heater and there’s a group of us going so it just makes the job easier etc.

We are considering Glentress though, Coed y Brenin is actually where we were going to go but the campsite near the Forest doesn’t have any electric hookups...

i can really recommend Pencelli. It’s a lovely campsite, and the riding is great around there!

I should probably add that Glencoe has hookups beside the car park. Plus the licensed cafe and Kingshouse across the road.

Yes, there still a campsite at Glyncorrwg at Afan. Cafe, showers, hook-up etc. etc.

Probably achievable in the Forest of Dean.

Snowdon has a campsite right near the bottom of the llanberis pass. I don’t know if it has electric hook up or not as it was fully booked when we tried to go!

If you're not just after marked trail centres...

Glenmore and Rothiemurchus near Aviemore.

Ballater and Braemar.

Contin (for the Strathpeffer course).

Campsite behind the Plume of Feathers pub in Princetown, Dartmoor.
In the middle of 100s of miles of trails. Bridleway literally goes past your tent.

Chrisyork.....if you are going to Coed y Brenin I can recommend the Vanner campsite which does have hook up, its a couple of miles South of the Trails but it is a lovely ride in to pick up the trails.

There are a few YHAs that are pretty much ride out the door. Not so much trail centre places, but they're right on popular trail locations or routes.

YHA at Holmbury St Mary in Surrey Hills for example, and the one at Danywenallt / Talybont-on-Usk is right on the Gap ride in the Brecons.

Yes, but could I suggest Willow Springs just up the road - much nicer. Camping next to the centre does give you access to the cafe and shop but also a double glazing industrial unit and a road enjoyed by bored local yoof. At Willow springs you feel like you are somewhere nice with views of hills and green stuff. Owners are lovely too.

There's a campsite near Dumyat that's close to some of the trails and a short ride to the rest.
