Not having used a Campag BB before could someone advise me on fitting ?
The cups screw on like the shimano ones but the drive side has a circlip which seems to locate behind the bearing surface once the crank arm is located in the cup through two small holes.

But what I need to know is do you screw the right cup all the way on until the shoulders of the cup touch the frame or as there is a small gap between the thread and cup shoulders do I stop at the end of the thread and not screw the cup down to the shoulders ?

Not sure if I understand, but Shirley the cups need to be tight on the bb shell otherwise they will fall out in use?

Sorry I was a bit confused and wrote gibberish.

I wanted to know if I need washers either side of the bearing cups to space the cups out from the frame.

No washers. Grease them and do them up very tight (50Nm) OR degrease them and do them up hand tight with bearing retainer compound.
