Anyone tried one of THESE?.
I was looking to make the same conversion (Campag shifters/rear mech but shimano cassette). For £30 from SJS you can get the JTek shiftmate which is a little pulley that hangs off the back of the mech and converts the cable pull for you. It has the added advantage of reducing friction in the cable outer by removing the 90deg bend before the mech.
Doesn't look great but will serve the purpose until I wear the cheap OEM wheels out and buy soem proper campag ones.
Thanks 13thfloormonk i'll have a look at that, though the cassettes on my bike is about had it so i'll have to buy a new one soon. Unfortunately it's got to fit on a 135mm spaced hub else i'd just get some campag compatible wheels.
indirectly, this thread should be useful

Do not waste your money if you are using 9 speed.
Despite what folk have read bla bla bla I have used camag 9speed with shimano cassette's and it works ( better than all campag infact)
Just try it
I have happily been running a pure Campag 10 speed gear setup on a 10 speed shimano cassette. Fine. Then I bought an American Classic cassette , barely used. Shimano splines, Campag spacing. Bugger all difference but I feel smug that i have solved an non existant problem.
