So I may have purchased a load of Campag inner gear cables without realising they're very slightly different to MTB inner cables, being smaller diameter (1.1mm vs 1.2mm) with smaller heads on the ends.
Will these work OK in standard SP41 outer cable?
Will the smaller head/end cause an issue when used with Shimano MTB shifters (and cable-operated droppers) which I guess are normally used with larger-ended cables?
Thanks.
They will work fine - probably better due ot less friction.
We (they) used to buy only Campag/SRAM compatible ones and use them in Shimano without issue @ the Bicycleworks.
Thanks - phew, I was thinking I might have to return a big load of cables but won't bother now.
Yeah, the main issue with cables is wedging tight a non Campagnolo compatible one into your campy shifters.
Used Campagnolo in Shimano shifters no problem.
A good fix for road STIs that mangle cables too
