I’ve recently purchased a new bike with Campag EKAR, quick question about freehubs…

I’m hoping to re-use a set of wheels I have, these will be purely for road purposes. Set up tubeless with 35mm tyres. I’m presuming a 21mm internal will be fine with a 35mm tyre? I’ve ran it previously with tubes and not died…..

Lastly, here’s the wheels (Shimano with DT Swiss 350)

The reading I’ve done suggests I can convert the hub by adding a Campag freehub body…..which I think is the part below? Is it as simple and cheap as it seems?

Never set eyes on Ekat myself, but regularly switch Shim<->SRAM freehubs. In principle yes, you're about right. (Although I wouldn't call £70 for a freehub cheap!)

Yes, you've got the right freehub there. Pull off the old freehub and push the new one on. The Ekar cassette just slides on like a Shimano one. Genuine 5 minute job assuming you have the tools and nothing is seized.
