Used camelbacks for yonks. Then use a decathlon which just isn't as comfortable.

Looking around have seen the Skyline OR or wingnut hyper3.

I like the idea of the wingnut as you can access the pockets without taking it off and seem to be build pretty well. However don com with a bladder. Will a camelback bladder fit?

Whereas the Skyline has a tool roll inbuilt has a bladder bit I've hard he modern ones aren't as bulletproof as it used to be.

Anyone able to convince me one way or the other.

Cheers

I have the skyline and its brilliant. Keeps the weight low and its really comfy. Usefull pockets in the straps that keep it snug around the waist. Bladder is easy to remove for filling. Really well made, which you would expect from camelback. Get one.

I’ve had the Wingnut comfortable but did tend to sway a bit while thrashing on, cavernous inside but no separate compartments now have a Skyline which I much prefer, more stable and compartments making it easy to get what you need without rummaging

Wingnut all the way for me compared to a camelbak. However, now running an Osprey Raptor and that is as good as the Wingnut in comfort terms, but organises everything better.

Good choice, I think if I remember correctly there was also a thread on here about the newer wingnuts using a lesser quality material than the older type

I got the skyline thinking the low down weight thing would be great.

Reality is I didn't notice the slight bit difference to my normal one. Nice bag though.
