I've (somehow?) lost the fastener that holds the QR open/close LEVER in place, through the nut/skewer. It fits across the groove on the QR LEVER shaft and into the recess on the actual nut. If at all possible, can anyone who has one tell me what type and size of fastener is used to secure the QR LEVER shaft in place? Is it a circlip/e/c clip of some sort?

Any ideas where a replacement could be sourced?

I've contacted BoB / distributors / retailers but am not making much headway - it appears small spare parts such as this are not produced?

Or... if you could take a photo & post it up here, that'd be even more awesome!

Lastly... and this is a long shot... anyone got a 140mm (Standard) BoB Yak QR complete unit going spare or you want rid of?! If so, holla!

TIA

Phil

Looks like a spring clip circlip or an eclip of some kind . It'll be a standard componant

Best bet would be to measure the slot and buy a few around that size it'll cost a couple quid rather than 50 for a new axle at sjs

Thanks trail_rat - my thinking exactly, £50+ is a lot to spend on a component that's used infrequently... and particularly when it's all good aside from a missing fastener!

Tell me/does anyone know - as I'm no expert in this area - are spring clips / circlips / e clips pretty much the same thing, functioning in the same way? Or do they each have their relative benefits/drawbacks, depending on the application? Which do I choose to use in this situation?

Theres one on ebay at the mo £28. Bit pricey (about the same price my whole trailer cost 😆 )
One from Germany for £60odd quid so I'd snap up the £28 if I were you!

Or there's the QR my trailer takes, which you could get for spares maybe?

SJS appear to have spare circlips too
