A friend is suggesting a ride around calderdale area this coming Sunday.
I wondered what the trail conditions are like currently?
I suspect not very enjoyable!
I live in Luddenden Foot and went out around Hebden the day after the floods.
Few holes have appeared in places but most trails are fine, Pecket Well from The Robin was excellent, no leaves or mud on the top section for the first time in ages
Norland area fine too.
Only ridden the Stoodley Pike side of the valley since the floods and that was wet, very wet! There's also a MASSIVE landslide right over London Road pretty much directly below the pike. It's impassable unless you want to get knee deep in mud. Another cheeky trail we were heading for was also closed due to a severe landslide. The canal path between Hebden and Tod is also completely closed. That said, if you want a ride I'm sure you could easily find one, and the cafe's of Hebden Bridge would definitely welcome you!
do you know if the canal between hebden and sowerby bridge is ok?
