I am looking to ride this route in August with a couple of friends does anybody have a copy of the gpx,i have tried to download it from ride with gps without any luck.i want to use one of my apps to modify it,either komoot, wikiloc, strava premium or bryton. Thanks Ben
ask on bearbones.
Is this not it? Off the Calder Divide website: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/38746964
Yes that's it but i cant export it another app,i think its a subscription only feature.I am already subscribed to other navigation apps so dont need another one.will look at bearbones.thanks
@benw Are you sure you clicked on more, then export as file. I’ve managed to download it and open in in Komoot.
Adrian has definitely put the route into komoot, but maybe it’s not public? Message him and swap a donation to Overgate for whatever format you need? You’ll also get any info he has on route options that way too - I know he’s revised and refined the route a few times.
The problem is with the gpx. Download any of the other file formats from the link above, import it into your chosen system & it works fine.
Sorted now,i imported it as a tcx file in komoot and it was fine.thanks everyone for your help.
I believe you need to be careful on Kamoot as it can change routes to what it thinks best. Heard of many issues with routes such as the King Alfred's Way.
This and various other gpx's are available on here... https://www.roughrideguide.co.uk/routes
