I had an older Deore rear mech which gradually died. I've swapped to SLX rear but I'm not too happy with the cable route and the shifting.
Should I zip tie a continuious outer from shifter to mech and ignore the cable routing?
It's a Epic and the cables come from the chainstay and almost doubles back on itself. I'd prefer a seat stay option to make the routing cleaner would this work?
Ta.

Yes it should work, just put some tape on there to protect the cable rubbing away at your alu frame
