I'm going to take the risers off my Major Jake and got back to road bars. This will mean taking off the XT hydraulics and replacing them with cable discs.
any recommendations?

Avid BB7s like wot came on my Kona Sutra. Make sure you get the road-specific ones though.

How about trying the new Shimano road disc?
Then you can tell all us avid users if they're any good or not. 😉
