I have a C456 I was thinking of selling but looking at sold prices it seems hardly worth selling

I have a 650b wheelset and 130mm 650b fork. Has anyone run this setup? Will it ruin the geometry or be ok?

Thanks

Mrsbeanz ran a 140mm 650b front end on her Ti456 and loved it . We did try a 650b rear wheel but with a decent size tyre in was touching the frame .

I think I remember Brant saying some years ago that it'd mess the geo, raising BB, but I dont know whether he'd go so far as saying it was ruinous.

What's a Carbon 456 worth by the way? I've got one with 140mm dual air revs, SLX and some nice strong wheels. Should I split it? I need rid for sure.

I'm keeping mine forever. Wife and Kids will ride it hopefully.

C456 uses "swapouts". Surely a slightly tweaked dropout could reposition the rear axle with regard to BB height and wheel clearance?

Bro in law has a C456 running a 650b rear, but his is singlespeed so he might have the dropouts slammed back to get the clearance. Seem to remember it was tight.
How about running 650b front and 26" rear with a large volume tyre?
My 26" front with 2.4 chunky monkey was almost exactly the same outer diameter as my mates 650b running 2.1 Ardent

That sounds like it'd work, particularly if you could find something less draggy out back.

Hmm, I thought it was no go at the back. Also would be a 135 axle.

Did think about trying some wheel size change on mine, but then given new forks and wheels needed I got a Bird Zero frame as wanted one anyway.

Still got the c456 bits with old 26 wheels and keep thinking of singlespeeding it.

Grrrrrrr thought this was an announcement of new C456

Yeah, me too. I was told a firm never happening when I asked before.

Why not just keep it as a 26" bike if you've got wheels and a fork?

I don't have 26" wheels or fork.

I currently have single speed drop outs and tried a wheel with a 2.2 tyre and seemed plenty of room even with wheel fully forward
