I am assisting with taking a group of 15 inexperienced riders on c2c in June this year, i have been tasked with compiling the spares and working out costings.
The list of spares i have thought of so far are.
Tubes
Tyres
Pads
Chains
Universal mech hangers
Couple of rear mechs
Is there anything really obvious i am forgetting?
Cheers
Rab
Powerlinks
Cables
Fair one, its always the obvious thing you forget
Jubilee clip for seatclamp bodge.
A pair of cheap flat pedals.
I'd give all the bikes the once over a week or two before, and tell them to sort any faults.
Cheers guys, we will be taking a complete spare bike as well. Any requirement for spokes, i assume it would be difficult to gain corrects lengths etc for each different bike
Yes try and get a couple of sets of spare wheels dependent on fitment ie disc/ rim brake cassette/f/w spare chains, power links LOTS of tubes don't forget u can probably top up along the way if stock gets low others plenty of shops about even if it means tescos/asda/halfords
If there is van following I'd put in a set of cheap wheels with tyres and cassettes fitted just in case someone pops a spoke/rim or hub.
Spokes
