I'm toying with the idea of purchasing a s/h bike from Holland and would pay with PayPal ( not gift), what happens if things go tits-up and the bike doesn't arrive? How long does it take for PP to put the money back into my account? I don't want to be without a bike for months..

Just use your credit card.. at least they will get your money back if it doesnt turn up.
The biggest pain will be if it gets damaged.
