With the exchange rates pounds to euros it seems like a no brainer to buy from Europe at the moment. Anyone done this and who would you recommend?
Sounds like you're after some cheap heroin, that won't help your cycling!
He's right, but if you do need gear, dodgy Larry down the Anchor can sought you right out.
Likewise, I was going to recommend Amsterdam.
Well I just got my dropper post from bike discount.de and whilst it took a little longer to arrive it was about £80 cheaper than UK stockists (and a retail boxed one rather than OEM).
I just made sure I paid by credit card in case there were any issues etc
I've had good service for buying bike gear from these three German shops... Rose, Bike Discount and Action Bikes.
I'm sure there are previous threads with quite comprehensive lists.
I usually only go Euro for big purchases or when I need a lot of little things. I find drivetrain related things and tyres are usually the items which have a big enough price difference to make the exercise worth while.
Halfway through a bike purchase via Germany, watch this space.
Best of them all.

I wouldn't buy anything that has moving parts/may go wrong after the experience of warranty claims for my KS Lev.
Had good dealings with ACycles for tyres. Their Maxxis are stupidly cheap compared to here.
+ 1 for Bike components.de also used bike discount.de, Bike mail order.de, hi bike.de, all tricks seem to be ok too.
All the german ones are spot on, some charge for delivery , some will ship FOC if the order is big enough. Just need to factor in if it fails has to go back further will take a bit longer
ROSE bikes are brilliant, they have some great stuff on sale now. Very quick too.
Bike components.de
As above , 3 of us have been using these guys for the last couple of weeks , 2-3 day turn around from paying to receiving , very good service
A set of pikes on their way to me from Germany. £400. Bonkers value.
