Help me think this through! I'm about to hit buy on a set of Zee's from the Germans. I assume they'll come the wrong way round. But as my frame has internal routing, that doesn't actually matter coz I'll need to disconnect bits to fit them anyway?
Is swapping the hoses round fool proof? I'm prone to c0cking things up like this!
It's extremely simple to do. Shortening them at the same time is equally so.
Hoses are easy if you have bleed kit and a spare olive or two if shortening. I did once distort a Shimano olive so if you're prone to cock ups a couple of spares on the order might be worthwhile.
Just make sure the delivery date is before 29th March.
Got some Deores from them, ham-fistedly swapped and shortened hoses easily enough, thankfully no internal routing though so couldn't comment, think if you re-route the cables BEFORE shortening them, then any minor fluid loss wouldn't be a problem as you can just cut the hose back beyond the empty end of the hose, if that makes sense...
Any particular Germans ? I'm after some new twin piston jobbies .

Yes. If you do it for the first time have a look at youtube. I'am sure there are plenty good videos how to do it.
Think new Shimano olive always is included in the brake package from Shimano. Bleeding and new oil filling is a bit of a mess so....
Missed opportunity for a pun involving Zee Germans.
The only issue with shortening, internally routing and and swapping hoses at the same time is that you're more likely to flick, knock or in some other way lose more oil from the lever/hose than if you do one at a time as you'll have 2 hoses flapping about rather than one.
It's always worth doing a bleed when new with shimano brakes even if you don't shorten/swap hoses as i have found air in them on more than one occasion.
I got a 4pot caliper from bike-discount.de and was squealing and wouldnt stop quick on mylast ride.
I just cleaned it and going to test it, but wondering what happens if I need to send it back.
Are there many cases of pistons leaking tiny amounts of oil with 4 pots, like there were with 2pots?
I had a painless warranty return with B-D. Free return postage too. Not a caliper though.

Bike discount. I've used them before so I'm happy with the service etc
I've hit buy. Should be a fun evening when they show up......
Snap! Ordered exactly the same today. Need to route front through steerer on trials bike so same. Was hoping they might be like the SLX i got a while back that were not connected to levers but website says they're ready to roll.

You may have glazed the pads. Try rubbing the pad braking surface on some sandpaper then follow the bedding in procedure again.
