I bought a set of the OEM Lyriks in the chain reaction fire sale with the intention of throwing them on my Bird AM9. They were only available in 140mm travel, but no issue I’ll just swap out the airshaft for a 150 shaft. Easy!
So of I go to the SRAM site and pop the serial number into the search box and up pops the details of my fork along with the part number of the 150mm airshaft. At this point I’ve no idea what  it looks like. Back to google inputs the part number, oh the shaft has buttercups!
So new airshaft ordered, the fork stripped down. No buttercups on either the airshaft nor damper.
Any one know if it matters that one side of the forks has a buttercup and other not? Probably not, but I don’t want to ruin the fork.

Buttercups are just about to start blooming here, a higher level of colour and mixing with the forget-me-nots too. Beautiful.

Nice one wheels. I’ve been mowing around them here. I like them over the dandelions

Why don't you build it up?

Vastly superior to dandelions and one of the local field is full of them.

I have done, it goes together ok. The buttery cups are a new thing for me. Don’t want to f*** up a new fork (can’t ride atm with sciatica anyway)

It's fine to have them on only one side

What model & year are your Lyriks - do they definately have buttercups already?

If they do, then the 150mm air shaft that you bought probably isn't the one for your forks - it will be for the previous  versions.

Air shaft upgrades: -

2021 C1 Lyriks - Debonair (no buttercups)

2023 D1 Lyriks - Debonair + (with buttercups)

I have just added a 160mm air shaft upgrade to my 2023 Lyrik Select+.

The fork doesn't have buttercups as standard (2023 Lyrik Ultimate does) but the correct upgrade shaft does have buttercups.

So OK to run buttercups in just one side, but you may have an older fork & upgrade kit that is not compatible with buttercups?

His fork doesn't come with buttercups but aftermarket air shafts only come with buttercups. Rockshox don't seem to sell the non buttercup version of the latest airshaft.

No input on the forks, so I'll join in with the flower related theme. Last weekend
