Thinking of buying a burley nomad trailer for wild camping with the kids (1 & 3). we could get away with panniers and the Thule double before Mat Jnr #2 turned up but now the two of them are sharing the trailer it’s pretty full. Camping with the kids isn’t particularly bare bones so I’m keen to have its 45kg load capacity. Also like the idea of essentially one big box to stuff things in and not having to rummage in different panniers. I think I’m fairly set on one of these but wanted to check I’ve not overlooked anything. Logistically I have a Mondeo estate with a towbar rack so I can fit a kid trailer and luggage trailer in the boot.

Go for it, a trailer is ideal for family touring. Also consider m wave or the more expensive bob Yak style single wheel trailers which are pretty bombproof. Avoid the 70 quid copies on eBay, the old skiidii versions were great but sold out.

Also look at the carry freedom. The hitch is great (no rattles) and the trailer has a huge load capacity (iirc 90kgs) - not that I regularly test this. The flat bed nature makes it really flexible for other duties.
