You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Evening all,
Please can someone advise a route that takes in lady cannings, devils elbow and stanage edge - a route that hits all the best trails and gets the best value for a day out for a few lads new to the area....All competent riders....bonus points for a route that ends in a pub .... Thanks
Park at Norfolk arms or nearby. Head past the alpaca farm towards redmires. Go either way around the reservoirs depending on whether you want to ride a cheeky section. Head up and past stanage pole. Turn left off the causeway to descend stanage plantation. Turn left out of the car park at the end and take the next two lefts on an uphill road slog. When you reach burbage join the trail on the right and follow to the end. Left up the road past fox house. Turn right onto stony ridge road and then left through the gate onto totley moor. Left after the first section then left again after the rocky descent. Head towards blackamoor car park. Into the woods to enjoy devil's elbow! If you want to repeat devil's elbow or do piper's then cross the stream at the bottom for a great climb back up. When you've had enough fun in the woods, head to hounkirk via either sheephill road or back the way you came towards fox house. Lady cannings for the finale. Then beers overlooking sheff in the Norfolk arms beer garden!
You can also throw a left just before Fox House. Head along the top of Burbage before a right and some nice singletrack to Houndkirk. Then turn right, hit Sheffield Road and continue as above to Stony Ridge.
Thanks guys, will get the os map out👍
Thanks so much - really useful👍👍👍
