As I was packing my bike up to bring it back from the Etape I removed my stem.
I noticed that the expander bung was sticking out of the top of the steerer by maybe 5mm. Is this aproblem at all? I guess I just expected it to be flush with the top but maybe not so thought I'd ask to double check

If it all works then I guess it's fine.
I'd be wanting to know how much steerer is in the stem.

All tightens up fine and the stem all but maybe 2 mm is over the steerer / raised bung
