Got a 4 cell 18650 holder - do I go for 4 in series at 14.8V or do I run at 7.4V and 2 cells in parallel to another 2? I think it is the latter and 7.4V.
Yup - 2 series 2 parallel config.
Just built one myself after the original died a very wet death......
Thanks.
There's a decent waterproof 18650 battery box/holder on dx.com for 8quid. Pannavo iirc or something like that.

Fab - about to order - Many thanks sv!
I am still using Turbo Ferrets version....remember them?
They are great I have 3 with various battery sets. Yes remember the thread and the 'r&d' progress!
what make of battery are you using and where from ??
senybor and laptop batteries - unbranded. I have not bought any in years.
Panansonics from dx, protected ones. Have various trustfires etc they are ok and the house hasn't burnt down - yet! Use a i4 nitecore smart charger, £13 of ebay.
Not pretty - but works until DX arrives...

I have loads of batteries - senybor are very good - anything with "fire" in generally poor. I pack that into an old shaver bag and then in a plastic zip freezer bag. Done this for years - seems to work. White lump is a zip tie end that stops a cable pull ripping out the cable from the welds. Cable goes down centre of the battery holder.
Yeah I have a couple of those turbo ferret ones , ordered them when my old dx p7 batteries died.
Just ordered some panasonic batts as mention above. Thanks for info guys
