Hey,

just looking at having a go building a rear wheel. Just trying to work out the right spoke length for the above rear hub with a ZTR Arch EX.

Basically these wheels with dt swiss nipples:

I know there are calculators out there, but where do I get on the correct measurements?

Cheers 🙂

have a look at this link before opting for the pro 2 hub...

unless you already have the hub then be aware of potential problems

If you read the other comments some people have been running them for years... so maybe there are some unlucky ones?

I have now bought all the kit, except the spokes, so not looking for a different hub.

Cheers though 🙂

I'm in the "good hubs" camp, BTW. I bought a set of pro2 evos when they were released, still going strong on original bearings.

Hi,

its the offset of the *rim* holes - zero for the arch ex.

I have nothing useful to add except to say that I like Hope hubs based on a few years of using (and ignoring) them. And Rob, didn't we ride together once a few years back?

Yep, I was the other guy, the comparative beginner on the XC bike (long since retired). Do you night-ride here? I'm out one night a week with the Brighton MTB lot, either Tue or Thur, usually do a stint on my own at Wild Park beforehand, embracing pushing back up in exchange for some techier trails.

I'm sure people have had hassle with the Evo 2 hubs but I've run Hope's for about 20 years with no issues whereas my XT hubs/wheels never get used because they require tweaking/fettling/tightening up before every ride!

I wonder how many Evo 2s have been returned to Hope and what % failure rate they have? Same question for XT hubs/wheels
