Neighbors Chimney, the one side of it sits directly inline with my wall (mid-terrace). The brickwork on this side of the chimney is shot through weathered and water is getting into the brick and making its way down through the loft wall and into the bedroom wall.

There's now a damp patch working its way down the bedroom wall.

I've asked him to remove it but he wants to keep it on incase he wants to sell the house at a later date, he took the worst part of it off the top last year but over the winter the issue has come back.

Spoke to him again, he's saying his mate is going to spray something on it to treat it and stop water entering the cracks, is he pulling a fast one?

Apologies for the rambling, first house, not dead sure how to get it removed, not many people local to ask, knowledgeable relatives etc

No spraying anything is temporary.

Either he fixes propper or removes it if its damaging your property.

I've asked him to repoint it if he wants to keep it, I dont even mind going halves as long as its sorted.

I'm away from the place for weeks at a time so it's easy to forget about it, got back this week and the damps halfway down the wall.

Once the chimneys sorted its just a case of re-plastering right?
