You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
So after much research on "where to ride in Edinburgh" I get here and excitedly pull out the OS map and have a quick look to see what was on our doorstep, my riding buddy had to work so I thought I'd take myself off for a bit of a warm up before hitting the Pentlands and then Glentress later, so I thought great Arthurs seat looks like it could be fun so off I trundle. First climb and I'm blowing well feeling great and eyeing what I thought was a foot drop so I cruise up unfortunatley I wasn't concentrating and on approach it turns out to be closer to 4 foot and i was not carrying nearly enough speed! so over the bars I go.
After pulling myself together I realise my lid has just saved my life due to the new dented by rocks look it's sporting, however my wrists are a different matter, left wrist broken right badly sprained knee gouged head bruised. All in all a rather abrupt end to my week of cycling in Scotland gutted! and to add to my annoyance the view from our window is Arthurs seat seemingly sticking 2 fingers up at me which is more than I can do right now. Ah well I'll just have to come back in 6 weeks and see if I can maybe restore some confidence! So kids always wear a lid! And I can now guarantee we'll have an awesome summer with dry trails as I'm off the bike!!
You're not meant to be riding up there anyway.
Hope you recover quickly.
