We do Morzine on the cheap. Car load of people (or two is even better), cheap tunnel tickets with Tesco Clubcard. Share the drive/tolls/fuel. Book a cheap chalet directly with the owner or through the estate agent in town. A few nights self catering, the odd night out. Beers mostly on the chalet balcony or in the hot tub rather than out on the town. Usually works out pretty cheap per person.

Morzine is the easy option if you want the Alps / Lifts £25 a day or £97 a week, is the easiest to fly to in the Alps thanks to a scheduled transfer service and loads of ‘cheap and cheerful’ digs if you’re on a budget.

Les Arcs is generally cheaper for passes and digs, but there’s a lot less official / mapped trails and they’re spread out across the resort, it’s also a bit of a ghost town in summer, you’ll want a guide to show you a lot of trails.

Alternatively you could stay closer to home, BPW is £41.50 weekend days and £35 mid-week. Antur Stiniog is £34 and £31 and runs 5 days a week. FOD is £33 and there’s a couple of other sites.

Around  £800 -  £900 all incl. including flight. Drive is not an option. It will be a long drive from Aberdeen.

Not sure if it’s especialy more expensive to fly from Scotland, but that’s more than doable from Cardiff.

Ciclo Montana is well worth a look. Cheap flights to Malaga from most places and the value of the package is outstanding. As well as the awesome trails and hospitality.

With that budget Morzine is more than doable if you’re careful with the budget when you’re there. Pizza for dinner each night etc.£200 for flights, £400 for accommodation, £100 for a lift pass. Food and drink from the remaining budget is doable if you are sensible

were doing Finale in May from Edinburgh. £750 for a weeks accommodation, food and daily uplift and guiding. Flights were another couple of hundred

I’d look further afield than just Morzine/Les Gets. Don’t get me wrong, it’s decent riding but I’d rather go to the likes of Les Arcs for some guided riding. Much quieter, no brake bumps from hell. We’ve done two years back to back with Whiteroom who were superb.

Seirra MTB seem to be one of the cheapest I've seen.

Good reviews on Tripadvisor. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g315915-d2540144-Reviews-Sierra_MTB-Fuengirola_Costa_del_Sol_Province_of_Malaga_Andalucia.html

I can't give you any more info than that though, as I've not ridden with them myself.

Cheers @ Tuboflard!

We just about fit into your budget too if you can find cheapish flights. €825 - €895 for accommdation, food, beers, airport transfers and guiding. Tiny bit on top for lift passes.

Sierra Nevada (Ciclo, Sierra, Switchbacks etc) is definitely within the budget. It's not "uplift" though, tended to be a drive to the top of the roads in the morning, then a climb to the top, descend to the bottom, lunch, climb or minibus depending on the day, descend right to the bottom of the valley, minibus back to the village. So you still have to climb, just not anywhere near as much as you descend.

No problem Stevo. Don’t forget your hot tub and limitless beers too in the price! Plus you don’t need to buy any lunch too if you make yourself a pack up each morning with the stuff put on by Matt and Crona.

You can pretty much go the whole week without spending apart from their night off, a few after ride beers and the odd lift pass, though from my experience you only really get a day pass on the first day to get your eye in at Les Arcs, maybe a day at La Thuile, the rest of the week is often spent in the van riding natural singletrack.
