Hi Guys,

Hoping to get over to Bucknell on Saturday. Never been before but I have heard great things.

Is it as good as the hype I'm hearing. Better than Hopton or Bringewood? Are the tracks easy to find as well as the extra bits people are telling me about.

Any help greatly appreciated or any decent loops that people have on Strava.

Cheers

Well, Bringewood had had a lot of felling so isn't in great condition now.

Bucknell is awesome. Fairly easy to find most stuff. Just pedal up the fire road.

As the road opens out into a long straight with a slight rise, there are a couple of trails to the right.

Keep climbing to the crossroads, trail on the right just before crossroads.

Up the final bit of climbing where it's stepper, look along the right. Plenty of trails including the official DH track

Cheers Kayak. I rode Bringewood last week and it was in a bit of a state. In your opinion are the ones below the DH track worth riding or just keep to the stuff at the top?

There is some awesome sections in that top bit where the DH starts. All pretty short but great. Can be linked up with others too.

There is a mad steep one above the trees to where the DH starts too, but to get to it you have to go all the way on the fire road to the gate, left through the trees then left up the grassy climb. Trail starts about 300yds on right. Epic. Watch the tree drop near the end.

Pm'd you.

Went this week, there's some ace riding in there. I got a bit lost on some trails just because they don't seem to have too much traffic and it's not immediately obvious where to go but I'd certainly go back.
