What is the better for CX? BSA or BB30 bottom bracket? And... why?

Does it matter? If it helps, my bb30 equipped road bike has gone back to the shop for the BB to be sorted as it was creaking like a sailing ship after only 5 weeks. 5 weeks of dry riding. But that could be anything, not the bb type.

What ever comes in the frame you want. you can get adaptors to put bsa in a bb30 frame,

if the bike is rarely used (e.g. race bike) - BB30

used it regularly - BSA

I got through 3 PF30s in 6 months this summer, all replaced under warranty

It would be a race bike, but I'd like to use it for training, sometimes and racing... every weekend. I had problems with press-fit bottom bracket in my MTB, too.
