As title, really. Is it a nice site, peaceful enough and free from idiots and big groups? Thanks.

Yeah it is good. I'm there first weekend in August with my gf so the idiot ratio will be slightly higher!

So much amazing walking to be done from the site if that's your think. Glennriding isn't far and Ambleside and Keswick are both pretty close too

Sykeside is a good site. We've been there a lot and never had any problems.

The only big group I've seen there was in the separate bunkbarn.

Always been fine when I was there. Remember some grief from the pub once for trying to eat in there when they wanted us in the campers bar. But last time it was great. Noisiest group was the crows.

Great campsite. Good pub, great views, fantastic walking and cycling from on site. Never seen any idiots there. No phone signal or Internet reduces idiot rate.

Yeah, I like it there. Little on the pricey side but lovely surroundings, nice pub and a little shop.

I like it. The toilet/ shower block is well worn but basically clean with hot showers. Generally no issue with noise. The pub can be a touch “idiosyncratic” but I tend to ignore it and put it down to English eccentricity/ rudeness. The setting makes the place.
