One of the alloy nipples on my Camber 2012 has just gone, looks like corrosion (may explain the creaking noises in my other thread). I've measured the spoke just by the threaded part with my digital vernier calipers. If I've got the calipers just touching, it measures 2.0 mm, if I shut them hard 1.82. I can't pass a 2.0 mm drill through the nipple.

Do I need 1.8mm or 2.0mm nipples? Would you replace them all or just the broken one?

I would say they are 2.0mm I had a few nipples go on my 0mm nipples, they are pretty much standard, 1.8mm is for lightweight duties and those spoke are really only chosen specifically for a custom wheel build.

If you can find the spoke type you can usually find the nipple size.

In principle, you should replace them all. In practice, if one is corroded enough to break, they're probably going to be a bastard to replace. It's a masterful piece of design really, they always last long enough to be corroded in place.

What model is your camber ?
If you want to keep the wheel a while replace all the nipples with brass ones

It's Camber Comp Carbon 29 2012 vintage. I've already replaced the bearings in the hub so I think I'l just replace the broken nipple. If more go, I may just replace the wheel.

Turns out they were 1.8mm. All the other nipples were seized solid so I've just replaced the broken one. Makes truing easy - only one that I can adjust 🙂

My camber wheels (roval) lasted a little over a year before the nipples corroded and sheared off (alloy no good in the soggy peaks apparently!). I ended up getting them rebuilt with brass nipples and they've been decent since. Surprised the hilo hubs haven't given up yet.
