if you google USE Atom, on discussions, there's a few mentions about this happening. I've not had an issue with mine but it's barely 6 months old!

Get another 🙂

There's a bit of a myth that Ti is unbreakable, I've seen plenty bust Ti frames, springy like steel, can fatigue like Al or indeed steel, a quick look at the good old periodic table says it all.
Having said that I love my Ti road frame.

They aren't actually *that* lightweight, pretty heavy given the price, but they are pretty robust and stay looking good.

What on earth does the periodic table tell us about the fatigue or other properties of metal alloys? Don't let Alcoa, Boeing, or BAEsystems know, they'll want all that money they spent funding my postdocs using million pound electron microscopes back...

Even Masterpieces aren't that light. There are other lighter alu posts out there!

+1 on that post being bloody old and having done well!

Where is the bodgetastic shot of the "fix", using an available section of branch, careful whittling and zip ties 😉 ?

Rode my first carbon seatpost and titanium railed Flite off road today o mmy rigid singlespeed. I'm not going back to alloy!

I bet if you ask USE nicely they will do a cheap replacement.
They are nearly as good as Hope in that regard, and for that reason I buy their products.
(I had a 2003 USE Alien Ti snap, the improved USE replacement is fine, they swapped mine for free as it was only 2 years old).
