And now I'm looking for a new one. The knackered saddle was a Decathlon v. light, v. comfortable and v. cheap.
A bit of searching tells me they were made by Velo and this looks like the replacement.

Any opinions on it?
Anything else I should be looking at?
Lose some weight?
Ride more smoothly?
HTH
Charge spoon. Just wrecked mine but it was really, really good... cheap and comfy.
180cms and 72kg.
Age fatigue, 5 years old.
Thanks anyway.
Charge Spoon at the budget end (but still very good)
or Fizik Gobi XM K:Ium for all day rides.
Charge spoon, £22 NEW From a shop selling on ebay. They had more left when i brought mine yesterday. I bent one in half during the mega, trees are hard
Spoons are good for the money, but the stitching can wear away if you move about a lot.
Gusset R-Series is almost identical and is available without the stitching and seems to be holding up better.
Edit: Velo seem to make all the budget saddles.
Personal favourites are
WTB Rocket V
Charge Spoon
In both Cro-Mo and Ti railed versions, WTB is just a little comfier over longer distances and a tad lighter (WTB Ti Vs Charge Ti)
But what suits me might not suit you...
