Anyone been down it recently?
Went down tonight & there look to be a lot of trees & branches fallen or pushed over - there's one blocking the small drop into the gulley (too big to move between the 2 of us; needs saws) - and it looked like the switchback drops have been dug out to make them less steep. Admittedly it was dark & stuff looks different by torchlight; just wondered if anyone else had noticed?
The trail to the left of it ("Chamonix"?) also appears to have had a lot of rocks removed.
I went down both today - Chamonix is unchanged but the rocks at the top were covered by leaves.
The picnic bench is confusing now with so many lines (most new one are rubbish) but there was a a few branches down and a tree across the gulley right next where you drop in. Ended up rinding a trail to the far right of the gulley that has a nice drop in it but is a bit directly down the fall line.
I'm sure someone will be along soon to turn it into a BMX pump track...
Edit - ignore me..
A lot of the MTB clubs who use Leigh Woods (including the closed bits, but its OK as they are *very* important) seem to simpify any of the hard trails by removing any tricky bits, spend quite a bit of last winter repairing the knicker trail, after people started to avoid corners, roots and rocks
