Last night we headed out for our normal Wednesday night ride - cheated a bit with a car at each end but all being parents to tiny ones limits our time, and it was fantastic. I can't decide on the highlight, either:
- the five yard visibility thanks to this Saharan fog
- the silence from the muffled night
- the brilliant and not completely muddy trails
- the fall that I rolled out of a fast fall into heather
- the cracking descents with drops hidden by fog or shadow
- the silhouette of riders on the blanket of cloud in front of us
- the great company
Yes I broke my light bracket, yes we had no time for a pint but what an experience to ride in fog like that. Great fun.
