Anyone know the date of the Brighton Big Dog event this year. It has run mid-August in the past. I want to make sure it doesn't clash with family holiday plans 😐

Morvelo site is down at the moment awaiting a re-design - I'm guessing we will know once it's back up http://www.morvelo.com/

Email them, or Rory at USE Exposure, I'll be surprised if a date hasn't been set by now.

It'll be on the wettest Saturday of the summer - and I'll have the wrong tyres again....

My neighbour rode it last year on Conti Speedkings - his usual summer rubber. Like Singletrack speedway riding after the overnight deluge, some of the steeper muddy climbs just undoable.

So much fun, Bonty XR1 and 2 combo was ermm useless. Old boy in the car next too me dug out nuclear option conti mud 1.5's after his first lap and set a cracking time.

6 Aug Sleepless in Saddle
13-20 Aug Transwwales
27 Aug Torq 12:12

Doesn't leave any free weekends for Brighton as it doesn't make much sense to clash with any of those events.

I had hoped to give Brighton a bash this year.

It's been on that middle weekend of August in the past 12/13/14 August.

That's what I had penciled in on my calandar and was planning a short break around it but would they want to clash with the startTranswales, particualrly as they are now offering Transwales mini events?

Seriously, if you really want to know buzz an email to Rory as above, he will have an answer!

I don't do any of the other races (not a racer) so it won't affect me or I'd emailed myself. 🙂

Woody:
I could do that or I could continue to idle away a quite Friday at work commenting on the forum.

Or I could work out a explanation for the wife as to why I've entered Transwales and not booked the campsite in Brighton like we'd agreed? 🙂
