Planning a ride on the Island on Sunday. I usually do a nice big loop from Yarmouth / Freshwater up round Chillerton, Carisbrooke, Rookley etc using the Tennison Trail and BW's.
Don't know Brighstone Forest that well other than skirting through it, but fancy adding in a few of the down-hill (rather than Downhill) runs there. Any pointers where to start looking?
It's been blooming ages since I was there, but I remember riding through on one of the high fire roads and keeping and eye out.
Pretty nice and swoopy AFAIR.
Could try the strata heat map?

I started the 2nd one of those threads linked above by pimpmaster jazz, and people were very helpful. The Strava heatmap and segment explorer was also very helpful too. I had two great holiday rides in Brighstone and Grammars despite the wet weather!
