From Talybont, up the Brinore Tramroad and down Dyffryn Crawnon is a cracker for a couple of hours/nightride. Climb back up to the cwm then descend past the Navy centre in the forestry. Great descents both. I really ought to get some way of recording these routes I suppose.
That or head around Mynydd Troed and up onto Mynydd Llangors, descend into Cwmdu then up to descent Rhiw Trumau. Again not an epic ride but great descents and enough for a really grotty day!
Then of course it's the Star Beer Festival the weekend of the 16/17th October...

I logged this last Sunday which was from Stoner's map:
http://www.justgoride.co.uk/Content/Routes/Viewer.aspx?id=1119

Click "Routes Nearby" for the bigger "Black Mountains Classic".

Here's the Gap Road which I did the day before:

If you search on here there is a very good cheeky route over Fan Gyhirych which you can tie in with Sarn Helen from either Forest Lodge, Libanus or Coelbren (better imo)

This site gives loads of info about trails in the Brecon Beacons : http://www.mtbbreconbeacons.co.uk/

And the Ordnance Survey getamap service might be of some use. I've used it in the main for going out walking. And it may be of some use. But trails for bikers aren't always outlined that clearly - so you might want to cross-check what's OK for bikers aswell on the internet first.

Website link is: http://www.getamap.ordnancesurveyleisure.co.uk/ You'll also need to click on the Leisure map option to get all the detail. (You can open a free account, and save maps you've plotted)
