My Lakeland 200 trip has been postponed to this weekend and translocated to somewhere that needs to be closer. There's a 150 mile route starting from Braunton in Devon and, well, I have questions.
Is it rideable in the wet?
Is it horribly exposed?
Will I die?
Is it a good option for a weekend or should we head up to Mid Wales?
Where can you bivi? The terrain looks pretty steep which usually limits options.
The route a bit has changed each year. This year the route started from just outside Porlock at Horner. The coast sections and the moorlands will be pretty exposed in bad weather. It's been dry for a while but wet today and looks unsettled this week. Bivying definitely possible although will depend where you get. It's a tough route over 2 days but takes in some great riding
