Does anyone have a collar seal from a brand x dropper post?

The service kits are sold out and I would only need the seal out of it anyway as everything else inside looks fine

Can I jump in and ask what the long term reliability is like on these things? I was thinking of ordering the 200mm version.

This is the posts first service in 3 years (I know) and it only started getting sticky in the past year or so.

Unless you have a problem with the cartridge they should go for a while , they have a two year warranty and cartridge problems usually show before then.

Best performance and value dropper IMO , start cycles had them cheaper with a discount code also. There was a thread about it a few months ago don’t know if it’s still active.

Also, new cartridges available for £30. Nice and simple for home mechanics.

Sharkattack - they're Tranz-X posts, so same as lots of others. Reliability is good from my own POV.

Got a tranz x on my Whyte E160s that has failed and is back for warranty, theyre usually pretty reliable and as said a new cartridge is only £30, I’ve warrantied as the bikes only a year old and if needed I’ve got an old reverb non stealth I could chuck in the bike as a bodge to get me out and about, I would buy another but wouldn’t buy a reverb unless AXS

@sharkattack

Reasonably good I have two. There is a small amount of rotational play in them from new and they can get sticky after about two years regular use, earlier if you're unlucky or use it more frequently.

The thing is when my oldest post got sticky all I did was replace the top igus bushing (costs a few quid) and it has carried on working un-serviced for about 3.5 years now!

Parts for Oneup, Tranz X, Shimano's Pro brand and others are compatible.

I'm about 2 months into owning a 170mm BrandX

So far so good. The included lever is a bit cheap n nasty but works. Future upgrade. Feels better than the Spesh command post (but I had no issues with that like some have had) and previous had a KS Lev Integra which was a bit wobbly but worked find.

Are the BrandX and TransX posts them same but re-branded?

I bought a couple of service kits last week from Wiggle even though they were showing as sold out on CRC. That was for 2018 - 2020 model.
